United’s mission is to keep our communities clean, recycle everything we possibly can, and transform waste into high-value beneficial materials. We help local and Fortune 500 food, beverage, and grocery brands protect their reputations and achieve their sustainability goals. United manages and recycles pre-consumer food byproducts responsibly, efficiently, and at scale, keeping waste out of landfills and providing nutrient rich fertilizer to our local farming community. Our comprehensive, circular solution capabilities allow us to recycle the widest range of food and beverage wastes in the industry.
We receive, process and recycle liquid, solid, and packaged food waste in bulk and/or virtually any type of container (pallets, cubic yard boxes, kegs) in any type of packaging (metal, aluminum, plastic, PET, mixed film, glass, etc.).
We design practical solutions that keep materials moving, help food processors, producers, manufacturers, and distributors reduce or eliminate landfill reliance, support farmers with reliable crop nutrients, and do it all with the lowest carbon impact in the industry.
United owns and operates permitted food waste and organics recycling facilities on several campuses in Clyman, WI under WPDES Permit #WI-0061514 and DNR Sanitary Permit #SY2186. These permits allow United to handle and recycle both liquid and solid food waste and organic materials. The company transforms waste into a nutrient rich soil additive called Earth First Nutrients ™ that it provides to the local farming community to reduce fertilizer costs and improve soil health while also providing a valuable, sustainable, and circular solution for responsible food waste management.
United serves local Wisconsin communities like Columbus, Watertown, Lebanon, Reeseville, Juneau, Waupun, Beaver Dam, Hartford, Hustisford, Iron Ridge, Mayville and Burnett along with large Midwest population areas such as Minneapolis, MN, Milwaukee, WI, Madison, WI, Des Moines, IA and Chicago, IL.
