Nutrient Recycling

United transforms waste into a nutrient rich soil additive called Earth First Nutrients ™ that it provides to the local farming community to reduce fertilizer costs and improve soil health while also providing a valuable, sustainable, and circular solution for responsible food waste management. We work with material generators, farmers, and landowners to develop practical solutions that benefit both industry and agriculture.
Before materials are applied, each waste stream is evaluated based on its characteristics, nutrient value, regulatory requirements, and suitability for agricultural use. United coordinates transportation and nutrient application to ensure materials are handled efficiently and responsibly.
Nutrient recycling provides beneficial organic matter for crop production while helping businesses manage their byproducts more sustainably.
United utilizes a variety of methods for land applying nutrients. The primary system is drag hose injection, a sophisticated process that uses specialized pumps, hoses, and connections to directly deliver liquid nutrients to an injection unit attached to a farm tractor positioned in the designated field. This method is very environmentally friendly because it dramatically reduces truck traffic, fuel usage, and CO2 emissions while also reducing field compaction as well as directly injecting the liquid below the soil surface.
Operated by an experienced team, United utilizes 5-complete injector systems and more than 5 miles of hose to support its nutrient application operations.
